Scientific Kids Crafts: Secret Message Wheel
Have you ever wonder what it would be like to send a secret message to a friend that only the two of you know about? Well now you can with this secret message wheel. Computers use similar and more sophisticated methods of turning messages into different messages by encoding them (turning messages into something unreadable to humans). The practice of encoding and decoding or hiding and revealing information is called Cryptography. This technology is used in the encryption of passwords for our email accounts, bank accounts, school records and much more. But is also fun to play with it just to say "hi" to a friend in a fun new way.
