Scientific Arts and Crafts: How to Make an Ocean in a Bottl
Though this craft is pretty to look at and lost of fun, the reason why I picked it was due to its scientific value. Here we are studying the density of various entities: Sand, Water and Oil. The density of Sand is higher than that of the water therefore, the sand will always go to the bottom, while the water will remain on top. Similarly the density of the oil is higher so the oil will be on top of the water. Thus the sand, oil and water will form separate layers when mixed together.
